Isogenica enters into research collaboration with Amgen

Cambridge, UK, 7th November, 2005:

Isogenica Ltd, today announced that it has entered into a research collaboration with Amgen. Under terms of the agreement, Isogenica will use its CIS display technology to select therapeutic peptide candidates to an unspecified number of Amgen targets. The company will receive research fees, milestone and royalty payments for the development and commercialization of any products resulting from the collaboration. Isogenica’s CIS display technology provides a novel and effective means of rapidly identifying peptides that bind with high affinity and fine specificity to any given molecular target. CIS display can be widely applied to the drug discovery and development process as well as to the discovery and development of non-therapeutic products. “We look forward to building a strong and fruitful relationship with Amgen and in assisting them with their drug discovery activities,” said Dr. Kevin FitzGerald, Isogenica’s CEO. “The initiation of this collaboration coincides with the re-focusing of Isogenica’s activities towards the discovery and development of a rich pipeline of therapeutic peptides and antibodies. We believe that the Amgen collaboration will prove to be highly complementary to our internal research and development efforts.” - Ends -
