Isogenica enters research collaboration with Graseby Dynamics
Isogenica enters into a research collaboration with Graseby Dynamics to assess the potential of Isogenica's covalent display technology in biological detection applications. ISOGENICA ENTERS RESEARCH COLLABORATION WITH LEADING DETECTION EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER TO DEFENCE INDUSTRY Strategic Collaboration with Graseby Dynamics to Assess Potential of Isogenica’s Covalent Display Technology In Biological Detection ApplicationsCambridge, UK, 8th July 2002 Isogenica Ltd, Cambridge, UK announced today that it has entered into a research collaboration with Graseby Dynamics Ltd, a leader in the design and manufacture of nuclear, chemical and biological detection equipment for military and civil defence applications. Graseby Dynamics is a member of the engineering and manufacturing giant, the Smiths Group.
The collaboration will assess the utility of Isogenica's Covalent Display Technology (CDT) in Graseby's detection equipment. During the collaboration, Isogenica will use CDT to generate new molecules against targets supplied by Graseby.
Isogenica is at the forefront of cutting-edge science with its innovative molecular evolution technologies, being widely applied in drug discovery and development. Its CDT technology provides a novel and effective means of rapidly and effectively identifying molecules that will bind with high affinity and specificity to any given molecular target. Graseby's biological and chemical detection systems are already being used by the UK Ministry of Defence, the US Department of Defense, NASA and other major governmental and commercial entities throughout the world.
"We look forward to building a strong relationship with Graseby in addressing this important area and contributing to their future development programs," said Dr Simon Kerry, Vice President of Business Development at Isogenica. "This collaboration is further evidence of the broad array of applications for Isogenica’s molecular evolution technologies, and we are confident that we will continue to build high quality collaborations with leading companies in key industries."
