Company Overview
Isogenica's main focus is to use its core technology, CIS display, to develop a portfolio of therapeutic peptides to treat serious diseases. Therapeutic peptides have many advantages over both antibodies and small molecules as a source of new medicines. For more information relating to the advantages of peptides, click here.
CIS display enables the high speed discovery of lead compounds as well as
their rapid optimisation for entry into development programmes.
CIS display mimics the process of natural evolution in that it begins with the construction of a vast
pool of genes (a DNA "library") from which genes that encode commercially useful polypeptides are
isolated by a process akin to Darwinian selection.
CIS display operates entirely in vitro which means that DNA libraries of
unprecedented size and complexity can be constructed with the result that much higher quality products
are isolated. CIS display enables the discovery of peptides with antibody-like levels of affinity and
specificity for target compounds. It additionally enables the introduction of other important drug-like
properties into candidate peptides such as enhanced stability and cell-internalising activities.

In parallel to its internal therapeutic programmes, Isogenica partners with major pharmaceutical
and large biotechnology companies in order to exploit the company's technology for the discovery
of new peptide, antibody and other polypeptide drug candidates, high specificity diagnostic compounds,
and other high quality peptide and polypeptide ligands.
