RS007 – Research Scientist, Molecular Display and Screening Technology

 

Isogenica Ltd is an established biotechnology company located on the outskirts of Cambridge, UK.

 

Isogenica has developed a cutting edge in vitro display technology, CIS display, which it uses to discover biologically active peptides, proteins and antibodies. The company generates revenues by establishing partnerships with large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

 

The company seeks to augment its research capacity through the appointment of an experienced and highly motivated Research Scientist.

 

Responsibilities will include the library selection and screening and the characterization of binding partners using various molecular and biochemical methods.

The position requires a PhD with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry or related discipline or at least 2 years experience in applying one or more of these disciplines in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

 

The successful candidate should have expertise in DNA manipulation techniques, molecular biology, biochemistry and protein engineering. Working experience with display technologies such as phage display or other in vitro display technologies would be highly advantageous together with experience of high throughput ligand binding assay systems.

 

The candidate must demonstrate high motivation, productivity in a dynamic collaborative environment, effective communication skills and good team work in addition to flexibility in learning new skills. Excellent optimization and troubleshooting skills and keen attention to detail are desired.
