Associate Director – Marketing and Business Development, 3 years at Isogenica
What does work for you typically entail?
“On a day-to-day basis my role involves keeping abreast of market activities, such as horizon scanning for interesting companies that might be worth keeping an eye on for partnering opportunities. This also involves reviewing Isogenica’s position statement – Which is our messaging and how we position ourselves amongst other companies. Another element of my job is to develop and execute a marketing plan for Isogenica, to manage the different streams of work that are happening, including our alliances, internal work, and data generation.”
What is one way that you contribute to Isogenica as a whole?
“My major contribution is planning and developing high impact content that positions Isogenica as a key opinion leader in VHH antibody discovery. My other main area is identifying, cultivating and developing potential leads for partnering – I’m constantly looking at where collaborative opportunities lie to widen our business opportunities.”
What do you enjoy most about your job at Isogenica?
“What I really enjoy about Isogenica is that it’s an ambitious company and that within my role I get to oversee and be involved in the different elements of Isogenica delivering on it’s plan to be a world-leading VHH antibody discovery partner.”
Why did you join Isogenica?
“It was a great opportunity for a business development role in a biotech company that was focused on the development and licensing of a cutting-edge antibody discovery platform, and the antibodies that come out of that. I also really like that Isogenica is a biotech working within the therapeutic space.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“I do like to cook. The other day I made a vegan earl grey mixed berry tart. I also enjoy reading. Currently I’m reading a book by Anita Anand, called Sophia. She’s a princess and she’s the granddaughter of a king in India – from the region that my ancestors are from – but she actually became a suffragette in England, so it’s a really interesting story.”
What is your favourite book?
“My favourite book is A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. I have a couple of favourites, the other one is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and A Thousand Splendid Suns by him is really good too.”
